ISKF OF FORT COLLINS DOJO INFORMATION The International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) of Fort Collins practices the martial art of Shotokan Karate. We are affiliated with the ISKF, as part of the Mountain States Region. Our instructor is Sensei Dennis Bower, Rokudan (6th degree black belt, ISKF), under the supervision of Master Yutaka Yaguchi, Kudan (9th degree black belt, Vice President of the ISKF). Our classes are scheduled through the Senior Center in Fort Collins, or directly through the Parks and Recreation Division of the City of Fort Collins. Check the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Recreator under the Adults Section, "Shotokan Karate", for schedule and cost. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and on Saturday mornings. There are two classes on weeknights: One for beginner through purple belts, followed by the advanced class for brown and black belts. Saturday classes are for all belt levels. Shotokan is a very traditional martial art that adheres to the true meaning of "karate": "empty hand". We use no weapons in training.
